Bedroom, Bed in Clayton Hotel, Leeds
Booked late on Friday for same day arrival, and requested a fridge due to medication, on arrival was in the room and was provided with shower as requested. Bed, would have preferred a little bigger but extremely comfortable, experienced a really nice sleep, bedding was clean. Breakfast, paid in the morning (£10.00) per person, lots of choice in cold and hot beverages, nice selection of continental and pastries, hot breakfast was nice very well cooked and good value for money. Had room service each night meal was good, average costing, was limited choice but service was very good and arrived within a good time span. Bathroom nice with shampoo and conditioner and body wash, both nice to use, and room was equips with hairdryer. Would have liked to have more towel in room but was ok ( funny about towels, personal choice) Would have liked to have seen the tea/coffee area refilled each day, good selection. There is a vending machine near the lift, only takes coins. Only grip is the car parking fee, would be expensive if staying for more than a few days, cost us £60.00 in total, however, I am a blue badge holder there are parking near the lift, but not a lot. Will be rebooking again when next visit

Breakfast was good, with selection of fruits, juices, hot meal, egg options, and various coffees/teas. Only comment would be that an option of wholemeal artisan bread would be appreciated (not just standard factory wholemeal bread). Customers using toaster for croissants, (despite warning notice not to) causing extreme smoke / burning smells, and luckily there was no fire Check in at reception was a little chaotic, with large group of Africans with lots of screaming children leaving. Male reception staff all appeared to be dishevelled, and dressed scruffily, as opposed to the smartly dressed female reception staff. This did not give a good first impression of the hotel. Parking payment machine is not user friendly, with insufficient information on payment and retrieving receipt slip Confusion over pricing as did not see any pricing information, and reception provided contradictory information on charges. Parking was safe and secure. Hotel just a 5 minute walk to town centre

This hotel was a great. I did have some problems with the gps taking me to the back (main road) - but, once I found the carpark and front of the motel accessed from the side street it all made sense. The staff here in the motel and the restaurant were all really nice & nothing was a problem - the restaurant food was good and on par with any other establishment, and I can recommended the Cauliflower Soup if it is on the menu when you stay. Upside to the location is the great little pub with live music around the corner - if you stay here you must check out The Grove Inn ...

Suzanne

A quiet room for a restful night above the city. Loved the roomy bathroom and being able to take a bath or shower. The comfort of the room. arriving late and leaving before breakfast it was great to have tea AND biscuits in my room, Prompt reception response and service provision when I realised the TV remote batteries must have run down. Comfortable mattress! Easy access to train station by foot, though I should have allowed 20 minutes plus to actually get into the station and onto the right platform!

The position was great for a function at New Craven Hall. Good signage, lit up at night to help find hotel. The breakfast was very good with an extensive choice suiting adults and children. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating not making an issue of the fact that we had a baby to stay in our room which had not been expected. Provided a cot and high chair with no problems. The ambience was classy and the bar area great for light lunch, a quick evening meal and drinks.
